Our Homecoming

Finally, the Homecoming post!

I hate that it has taken me so long to get all these posts caught up...it has been very crazy around here with activities, school, sickness, and traveling...not to mention I took a little break from the computer to spend time with my family.  So anyway...this is the last post in the welcome home series.  Its Jason's big arrival to the house.  We are so blessed with wonderful friends and family who took time off work and out of their very busy schedules to decorate the neighborhood and house or just be there when Jason arrived.  I know so many others wanted to be there, but could not and we appreciate them as well.

A quick update before overloading y'all with pictures  ;)
The last few weeks have been incredible.  My life is feeling complete and we are slowly getting into a routine. The adjustment has been so much better this time! Such an answer to so many prayers...I can not thank my friends and family enough for their prayers on our behalf that this adjustment would be a smooth one.  Adjustment is not an easy task, but when you feel the strength of so many prayers it sure is much easier.  The kids have not shown any signs this time (which is such a HUGE difference from last deployment).  I kid with Jason and say that his biggest problem is returning to SAFE driving techniques...wow...he has scared me a few times, but driving is coming back to him, lol.
We are trying to take things day by day and not plan too much.  I find that this is best for us.  J has many plans for himself...he is making his own honey do list...I promise it is not me!  I encourage him to not try to get it all done in one day and he listens (sometimes)

Ok, so enough of the update...here are the pictures...I shared a small number in comparison to how many I actually took, hehe
As we drove up the road to our house we saw signs, flags, and bows lining the streets as well as our friends and family waving flags waiting on us to arrive:

My family!  Complete!

My awesome neighbor Jill and her daughter Jaley standing with J, Jack and Madi.  I love this woman!  She is the greatest neighbor and friend.  I feel so blessed to have her in our life.  I do not think I have ever met anyone so thoughtful and caring as she is.  She and her husband have done so much for us this past year, I don't feel like I could ever repay them. If not for my father in law and Andy (Jill's husband) my yard would be a jungle.  Not only did Jill clean my house while I was gone she also took care of all the decorating of the neighborhood for J's arrival and preparing our meal (actually meals she fed us quite a bit over the last 15 months)  (if I could just convert them to be Auburn fans they would be perfect! hahaha!!! ) Anyway, Jill - you are the best!  Thanks for all you have done and do for us!!!

The following pictures are some of the signs, banners, and decorations that my friends put out for the arrival:

This is a banner I had a friend of mine make to hang on the front door.  I love how it turned out!  If your needing a banner, I encourage you to check out her etsy site HERE

ok, if you made it through this picture overloaded post you deserve a treat hehe...

Have a great day!
