Day 6 of Vacation...our last day

Little Miss striking a pose....I am blaming this on her grandmother. Madeline had so much fun at the beach this year! She loved looking for shells and helping her brother build sandcastles (ok, who am I kidding??? she knocked all of them down)

Jack had so much fun at the beach. He loved building sandcastles and digging holes. Jack also turned into quite the swimmer.

My little family...I can not even begin to tell you how blessed I feel that we were all together for vacation this year.

Day 5 of Vacation

Lil Miss Madi ready for another great day of swimming.

Jack ready for another great day of building sandcastles and digging holes.

Just before we took a ride on the Ferris Wheel...I normally do not ride this stuff (I get motion sickness very easily) but I rode...oh the things we will do for our children ;)

Jack and Madi riding the Ferris Wheel. Jack sat still the whole ride and enjoyed seeing the views...Madi would not stay seated at all...I was so glad when the ride was over.

After we rode the ferris wheel, we took the kids to play putt-putt. By this time it was getting pretty late and Madeline was very tired. She lasted 1 hole...yep 1 hole. Thankfully my mom was there to take her so we could finish our game.

Jack did very good at putt putt. I love how he plays the game...if the ball does not land where he wants it to be, he just picks it up and places it where he wants it =) He did however actually get a hole in one!

Jason playing putt-putt...He looks so serious, but don't let it fool you...I beat him =)

Just me looking like I know how to play ;)

Day 4 of Vacation

We are having such a GREAT time at the beach! The kids have loved the sand and the ocean. They are playing so hard and as a result...sleeping so good! What more can we ask for???

Madeline is not one to be afraid of anything! She of course had to boogie board too.

Jack has made quite a few friends and has loved digging holes and building sand castles with them.

Jack and Madi are ready to head out to the amusement park.

Jack drove the go carts all by himself! I can not believe my little boy is big enough to do that!

Madi was not big enough to ride the go carts, but she sure did enjoy watching her bubba.

Madeline enjoyed riding the swings.

Yes, I was using Jack as a sheild. =)

Don't let Jason fool you, he really was having a great time!

Madeline has had enough with the bumper boats.

Finally over...I am looking like a drowned rat.

Vacation Day 3

We had another wonderful day at the beach! A storm from the night before brought in lots and lots of shells so we all had fun finding shells. Before we left for vacation, Granna told the kids to find her a shell so they had a blast finding shells for Granna. After shell searching we spent the majority of the day sitting under the umbrella because it was just hot. The afternoon brought a little relief from clouds though so that was a nice break. Below are a few pictures from our 3rd full day of vacation.

I love this picture...they are so sweet laying on the couch together...do you think the sun and swimming is wearing them out???

Jason and me before we headed out on a date. We went out to eat and saw a movie just the 2 of us...it was great! We are sooooo fortunate to have my mom here with us. She insisted on keeping the kids so that we could go out...well you know you do not have to twist my arm too hard =)

And now for the little extra...
My friends Aimee and Jami are about to embark on a great journey. They are going to spend a week in the Ukraine working in an orphanage. They are both so excited about this trip and very passionate about adoption. I am so excited for them and even more excited to see how Christ is going to reveal Himself to them during this trip. They have started a blog (link on the right under Aimee and Jami) I encourage you to please read their blog, follow their journey, and most importantly be in prayer for them and the people with whom they will soon be meeting. Pray for God to already be preparing the hearts of the orphans with whom they will be meeting and also to be preparing Aimee and Jami.
In order for Aimee and Jami to take this trip, it is going to take some fundraising to raise all the money they will be needing. Between now and the time that my friends leave, I am going to be saving all profit from tastefully simple sales to give them to help them with fundraising. If you would like to host a party, please contact me soon because there are only limited dates available. Thank you!
