So Proud...

What more is there to say, but I am so proud! Today, I was fortunate enough to witness my grandad (a disabled vet who is currently battling cancer AGAIN) pin my little brother during his promotion ceremony. It was a very special moment for my mom and me to witness and I am so glad that I was able to be there.

My Little brother...can't believe that this is the same boy who used to aggravate my friends and me =) Jeremy...I am so proud of you kiddo!

Calling the unit into formation.

Jeremy waiting on his turn.

Jeremy being congratulated after my grandad pinned him.

After the promotions were completed, the commander asked my grandad to speak. Papaw did an amazing job and he received a lot of claps and hooahs =) Papaw served 20 years active duty and this August will mark 36 years retired. He served one tour in Korea and 2 tours in Vietnam. Papaw is a TRUE American Hero in my book! How fitting that he was able to pin his grandson (who is a veteran of Operation Iraq Freedom)

Jeremy and Papaw...2 great American Heroes!

Below are 2 videos that I took today. Be sure to pause the music player at the bottom before watching them =)
