Happy Resurrection!

We had a really great Resurrection day today! We were fortunate that my mom was able to come for a visit and we all went to church together. We had a wonderful message this Easter morning. The kind of message that makes me think and ponder. What makes Easter so special? HE BORE OUR CURSE! That is what makes Easter so special. Jesus bore our curse so that we may receive justification! When I think on this, it makes me think about one of my many favorite songs "Power of the Cross" And this verse in particular...
"Oh, to see my name written in the wounds,
For through Your suffering I am free.
Death is crushed to death; Life is mine to live,
Won through Your selfless love.

This, the power of the cross:
Christ became sin for us;
Took the blame, bore the wrath-
We stand forgiven at the cross."

Christ took our sin upon Himself and bore it (HE BORE OUR CURSE) so that we stand forgiven! Now that is something to celebrate!

After church we had a huge lunch and the kids hunted eggs. They had so much fun!

Below are some pictures of our day.

Thanks Misty! I love to hear it too :)

Kristin~ I got Madeline's shirt at Wal-Mart (the solid color tees for like $3) then I took it to Becky at B B's (in Saks). She has a huge bin of scrap fabric and I just sit in her floor and go through until I find the one I like and she sews it on and monograms it for me.
