Last night, we took the kids to a high school football game (the high school that Jason and I went to) It was a lot of fun even though our team lost. The kids enjoyed it until the 3rd quarter and then they were ready to leave. Maybe as they get older, they will come to enjoy it more and maybe last the whole game =)
Below are some pictures I took at the game. (the pics are from my camera phone so they are a little blurry)

Lil Miss Madeline...she enjoyed dancing with the band and doing cheers.

Of course today is football Saturday so (as promised) I am going to leave you with some more of my favorite tailgating foods.
Fiesta Party Dip
1 or 2 TBSP of Tastefully Simple Fiesta Party Dip Mix (I usually put 2 cause we like it hot)
1/2 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream
Mix all together and refrigerate for about an hour
Serve with tortilla chips
Buffalo Chicken Dip
2 cups cooked, diced or shredded chicken
4 oz red hot sauce (or more if you can handle the heat)
8 oz cream cheese (softened)
1/2 cup ranch dressing
shredded cheese
Combine cream cheese and ranch
Saute hot sauce and chicken
Stir chicken into cheese mixture
Spoon into a 9 inch pie plate and cover with shredded cheese
Bake on 350 for 30-35 minutes
Serve with tortilla chips and celery
Caramel Dip
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 - 8oz pkg cream cheese (softened)
1 - 6oz bag Heath almond toffee bits
Mix everything together except candy with a mixer
Add candy and mix more
Serve with apples (or if you are like me just eat it with a spoon) (=
Hope you enjoy the recipes! I think I will make this my new Saturday thing during football season...I will post tailgating recipes that I love to make so look for more next Saturday.

love the recipe idea Jessica! YUMMO!! Your 9/11 post was great, too. I was in my 2nd year of teaching at Saks Elem and it was picture day. One of the aides made the rounds, spreading the news and asking for prayer. My kdis went to PE and I watched the TV for a short time....just enough time to watch the 2nd tower fall. I was numb, but scared the rest of the day. I remember the rush to the gas pumps after school and then the overwhelming need to be with family. We ate dinner at my parents house that night and watched TV while we cried and prayed. God bless the USA and God bless Jason (and you) for his service!!!
Looks like fun! We can see the high school from our house, so we could hear the game going on! I love football food too! I was blog surfing last night and came across Boomama's blog. She did a post where you could share your fav. dip recipes. There are TONS! I looked through some (it would be near impossible to look through them all) and found a lot that I'd like to try. Just thought I'd pass it along to you!
