MilSpouses Rock! Blog Carnival Day 3
Hello and Welcome to Day 3 of the MilSpouses Rock! Blog Carnival...
Today our topic is "Top 10 Reasons I love being a MilSpouse"
The number 10 reason I love being a milspouse:
The benefits...medical and dental insurance, use of PX/commisary (if you are fortunate enough to live near one...which we are not)
The 9th reason I love being a mil spouse:
The discounts! There are some REALLY great discounts for service members and their families. What is so wonderful is that these companies do not have to give these discounts, but they do. We do not expect it at all but sure do appreciate it =)
The 8th reason I love being a mil spouse:
Letters and presents from away places =) Its like Christmas morning everytime we receive a package.
The number 7 reason I love being a mil spouse:
COMMUNICATION
1. Late night and unexpected phone calls from far away places. So wonderful to be awaken at 2 in the morning just to hear "I love you"
2. Also uninteruppted internet chats...really...it does not happen often, but it is so nice when your chat session does not shut off b/c hubby looses internet.
reason number 6 I love being a military wife:
Pride! I am so proud of my hubby and the job he does, but I have pride for every member of the service I see.
The number 5 reason I love being a military wife:
The support from strangers. It means so much when someone sees my hubby in uniform and thanks him for his service. I know that Jason does not expect to be thanked...that is not why he chose to serve...but it means so much when a complete stranger takes a second of their time to say 2 simple words "thank you"
The number 4 reason I love being a military wife:
My walk with the Lord has grown and strengthened so much. I truely believe that if it was not for the trials I have faced, my walk would not be what it is and what it will be. I can honestly say that I am thankful for the trials because I would not have ever experienced God's soveriegn grace and mercy if it not for the trials.
The number 3 reason I love being a military wife:
The hugs and kisses at homecoming! (this picture was taken when hubby came home from deployment #2...sweet kisses from Madi who was just 14 months old when he left)
The number 2 reason I love being a military wife:
Other mil spouses. I have met some GREAT women because of our common bond. I am so thankful for every one of them. For the support they offer me, the encouragement they give, and because they "get-it" (the above picture was taken at Family Day 08 ~we went even though our hubby's were deployed)
And the NUMBER 1 reason I love being a military wife:
MY MAN in uniform! (This picture was taken during deployment #2)
